Quick-Start (60 seconds)

1. Scroll to Open App and grant camera permission.
2. Tap Start Camera to show the live feed.
3. Gently place fingertip over the camera lens; keep still.
4. Tap Estimate to run a ~15s capture. Hold steady until it finishes.
5. Optionally type your lab/strip reading (mg/dL) in the box, then run another estimate.
   After ≥3 valid entries, GlucoSense learns a personal model to improve future estimates (stored locally in your browser).

Requirements

• Modern mobile browser with camera access (iOS Safari, Android Chrome).
• Allow camera permission when prompted.
• Stable hand posture; avoid squeezing the lens.
• For offline use: install as a PWA (see below).

Install for Offline (PWA)

1. Open this page in your mobile browser.
2. Use your browser’s menu: Add to Home Screen / Install App.
3. Launch from your home screen. The app works offline after first load.

Data & Privacy

• No cloud: processing happens in your browser.
• Calibration points and model are saved in localStorage only.
• Clear your browser data to remove all stored values.

Troubleshooting

• No video after Start: Ensure HTTPS and camera permission allowed.
• Black screen: Don’t press too hard; let some light in.
• Unstable values: Keep still; rest your phone; use steady light.
• Not learning: Enter a valid mg/dL and run another estimate. Learning starts after 3 valid references.

Is this a medical device?
No. GlucoSense is experimental and not a medical device.

Can I make medical decisions from it?
No. Do not use GlucoSense to diagnose, treat, or manage any condition.

What is stored?
Only your optional references and a small learned model, saved locally in your browser.
